Just a note to let you know how much I love your books. My first one was The Wild One. My best friend had gotten it for me for Christmas. What a coincidence that she did that because I was planning on buying it myself and she didn't even know-just took a lucky guess on what type of romance book I might like. Hi Danelle, Thanks for a great read of "The Wild One". Lord Gareth and Juliet were courageous, funny and loveable. I dont think Juliet loves Charles as much as she claims since she only knew him for a short time. I hope she stays with Lord Gareth, he's a prince. Can't wait for "The Beloved One", I'm sure it will be fantastic.

I loved the Wild One. I can't wait to read the one about Charles. You did a really great wonderful job with the characters, especially the transformation of Gareth. Too many times the heroes are jerks or perfectly perfect, but Gareth seemed like a "real" man with faults and heroism. I also loved Juliet--she was my kind of heroine. Strong and smart, but not stupidly stubborn. Great job. This was definately a keeper!

My 71 year old mother however, read them like a maniac..I spent the last 2 years taking care of my mother (terminal cancer) and she shared her books with me. Picked up by chance from a second-hand bookstore, it started a mad search for the other stories in the series, all of which have become much loved keepers. I have read all but one of your books (at least I think I have) and have enjoyed them all. Your characters have warmth and humor and for the most part, good will, something of a rarity in a genre peopled with tortured souls who don't know or understand themselves let alone anyone they might be attracted to. Gareth remains my favorite of your heros, so warm, loving, humorous and light hearted--a real dream man. I don't know whether any of your other de Montfortes can live up to the standard set by him. Charles was more serious than I expected; not as much fun. I look forward to seeing what you do with the duke. Please don't soften him up, though. His Omnipotence is amusing enough just the way he is. I'd like to see him involved with someone totally different--perhaps another American, someone like Mira who is not impressed with British aristocracy and quite expressive of her opinions. Keep the books coming. I eagerly look forward to the next one.

Well Danelle, Haven't heard anything back from Avon since I wrote about my displeasure about the pub. date of "The Defiant One", not that I'm surprised. I guess I will have to resign myself to waiting until next year. Of course as you said it makes a shorter wait between Andrew's book and Lucien's (the one we are all waiting for). Well, I guess the letter writing didn't help much, but we tried. More than a year to go. Drat, I hate waiting that long. I know two in 6 months is a wealth of riches but it doesn't make up for the wait. I guess I'll finally get the back list read this summer but that's not the same either. So, will the fate of dear sister Nerissa, be resolved in these two books or will we be forever left to wonder what became of her. Just curious, I don't what it is about her but I really like her. I have read both De Montefort books and enjoyed both. I especially liked Charles' story because you showed some wonderful
psychological insights into "perfectionists" and their lack of self-forgiveness. Also, I love having a good laugh as well
as the occasional cry when reading. Last, but not least by any means, I appreciate the lack of violence and crudity in the
sexual moments of your book. There is too much violence and lack of respect in the "real world" to enjoy it in a fantasy.
I look forward to reading about Andrew and Lucien. Hopefully, you will also give Nerissa a great story like the others.

Hi Danelle! I hope this all fits. I e-mailed you last year in May, and then again in Dec. re: advice on romance novels. You were so kind to write back. I truly value your opinion because you are one of my favorite authors. I am up to Chapt. 11 in my own manuscript right now and am begging you to give me the name of the agent that accepted your query letter and manuscript. I got a copy of the "Agency List" from the Writers Guild. There are about a million agents on the list and every one I call either only accept screenplays, or they don't accept queries, or whatever. I only found a handful that I could send my material to, and even then, I don't know if they are good agents. Can you possibly give me the names of agents that I might have a chance with, and won't be sending my material to for nothing? I know you might be thinking about competition, but I could never possibly be as good as you, so you never have to worry about that. In actuality, I buy and read many romance novels, so I support many authors. In my opinion, there's room for everyone. If you'd like, I can send you chapters of my manuscript, and if you like it, recommend that an agent you know take a look at it. Some of them only accept writers as a result of references. I would never ask you to just recommend me without actually reading my material. It would truly be an honor for you to read my manuscript, but I also understand that you are probably very busy. I would even give you my phone #, but I'm afraid to over the internet. In any case, whatever advice or help you give me at this point would truly be appreciated. Should my book get published, there will definitely be a huge "thank you" on the acknowledgement page with your name on it ! Best of luck with your own writing. I read "The Wild One" and had to race to the nearest bookstore to get "The Beloved One" for the next installment. My one complaint is--I'm not getting any housework done--I can't put down your book!

I just love characters like Lucien! Jo Beverly has a series, the Mallorens, and the best characte, who is a lot like Lucien, is th e last in a series of FIVE books!I tell you, though, they are worth the wait! Oh, and by the way, I think English guys are so cute! I just love their accents!

I loved the hero Charles being human. I made me able to see that my real hero (my husband) can still be very romantic even if a little blind sometimes.

I started with your book The Wild One and I am hooked on your Series,I have some friends at work that I have told about the sexy Lord Gareth de Montforte and they too are in line waiting for me to finish and pass along to them. We all like reading books that belong in a series because you feel like the characters are every day people in your life and when you finish one book you are automatically ready to pick up the next.

My interest in romance novels started with your "wild one". I got my father reading them now and his always asking when the duke story will come out? I thought that The Defiant One would never come out, but it finally did and I couldn't put it down until I reached the last page. I enjoyed reading the Defiant One so much that I have been searching for the previous books such as the Wild One and The Beloved One without any success.

I began to read Romance Novels when I was a teenager visiting my paternal Grandmother. She was the one who gave me this book as a gift when my son (born 5/7/99) was in the hospital getting heart surgery (May 9, 2000. My grandmother passed away in July 2000.

Thanks for the great book I enjoyed it very much and have kept the romance going by passing it on to my co-workers whom I share my books with.

I work at a library and the Romance section happens to be the section that is assigned to me to keep neat and tidy. I ran across one of your books one day as I was shelving it and thought I would try it (I'm always up for trying someone new). I was soo glad I did. I tried to order all of your books immediately after that from our library system, but some of them people liked so much they never returned them! (laugh) So, I ran to my nearest bookstore and bought the ones I couldn't get. Well spent money, I'd say! Keep up the great work. I can't wait to read the Wicked One.

i love your series on the de Montforte royal family although i was a little disappointed in the defiant one it was not as compeling as the rest of them.
also are you going to do one on Lady Nerissa de montforte? i would love to read her romantic life. It is very common for me to read one of them in a night as once you start it is so hard to put down.

I love your books because I absolutely love stories about the time era you use. You put enough intrigue and adventure in with the romance to keep you guessing throughout as to what is going to happen next. Yes, I was highly disappointed with Lucien story... My book club agree, he deserved better than used goods. He should have had woman who really was strong as him. Pure in body but with a strong soul. Willful like his brothers, part tomboy that Lucien only could bring out the woman in... Eva was too stupid and insipid. She rang like a harlot with out the skills and none of the talent... She makes a mistress to be discarded. Lucien deserved way better.

i think all your books are great, but my favorite is the stories about the de montforte. i've read all of them but 1, its out of print and i can't fine. i'm reading the new one now. lucien's story.

You are truly a talented and gifted writer. I found myself laughing then crying, and not wanting the story to come to an end.

Your characters are so alive and I found myself hanging on every turn the story took. I really like the way your characters "speak" in the old fashioned English, and I love the way I got to see their personalities through the way they expressed themselves
(in your writing of course)!

I have looked in Tampa for copies of your other books but as of yet no one has them. Perhaps they are just out, or only had in the particular book I read.

Keep up what you're doing, I know you have brought enjoyment into my life. I couldn't help but ponder how wonderful your story would be if turned into a movie. It was wonderful! I hope you will write again about Lucien and Eva...and "mayhap even their off-spring!" (Ha-ha).

Actually just finished the book (very slow reader)
and saw your URL inside back cover. Have a stack of your
novels in my guest room for show & tell. You still craft
up a good adventure colorfully--Pirate still my favorite,
with the local connection. Did yoy know Barry Clifford used
to hang out in Crested Butte, also? I gave him one of my CB
notecards at a book-signing he had in Chatham. He asked how
you were doing.
Everyone still the same here. Barb's on her way to her beloved
Wyoming this moment where she'll house and horse-sit
for landlords she had last summer. Arts for the Parks
annual show in Jackson Hole got her out there.

I was just told about your books. I haven't read any yet, but I am looking forward to reading the Wicked One. I was told it was the last of a series, so I am trying to get the other ones first.

I just finished reading "The Wild One" (after many days of searching used book stores =P), & wow I just couldn't put it down...it was soooo touching *sniff* & I fell totally in love with Gareth myself!!!...I am now awaiting the next three books which I just ordered. I hope you will continue on with the de Montforte family after "The Wicked One"...I can't wait to read about Charles, Andrew, Lucien....Narissa and maybe Perry?? =)

I finally managed to find the Wild One.Read that one and Beloved and must confess,I skipped Defiant and read the Wicked One. I loved the story of Lucien.Only Eva could have been strong enough to love him.

This is the first time I have read any of your books and totally loved The Wicked One. I consider it a keeper and will be looking forward to more of your books. Will also try to find some of your older books. Keep up the great work!!!

The Wicked One was one of the best books I have ever read! How fun! Actually all the brother's stories wer e wonderful to read. Isn't there possibly another de Monteforte brother you could dig up to keep the series going? Possibly a bastard brother that Lucien didn't know about?

I loved the deMonteforte series!!!! I fell in love with Gareth and have continued to hold each one dear to me!! I loved how you included the pets into Andrew's book. I too have a dog child, his name is Zebulon's Sun. We call him Zeb. He is my 1st child. He is 10 1/2 yrs old and is a large Golden Retriever. He is a loyal guardian to my 2 daughters; Erin, 5 and Madeline, 2!!! They simply adore him as well.

I am hooked on your books! The only thing is that they are hard to find! I have just ordered the three last ones home from Zshops, then I'll have all ten of them. Yeah! Jeanette (Denmark).

Hi Danelle! You are my favorite author and you have an enchanting website. My favorite book of all time is "Captain of My Heart". When I read that book in 1996, I thought, if Brendan was a real person, he would be the perfect man for me. Well in 1997, I met a man who was exactly like Brendan, right down to his auburn hair and green eyes. He is now my soul mate and husband. I guess there really are heroes! I would really enjoy a book about Brendan's son...have you ever thought of writing one? I would love to revisit those characters. Keep up the excellent work and congratulations on your new daughter! She is a precious gift.

After a very long search, my sister found a used bookstore online that had your out of print books. Well, needless to say, I have now read everything you have published! And let me just say this, I would be thankful to have one quarter of your talent. No one matches your writing abilities....NO ONE! When any new books come out, my sister and I usually pre-order (if possible) or are either the first ones in line to buy it when they open the boxes from the distributors! I am looking forward to the next book...any ideas or storylines brewing in that intruiging brain? Just curious.....keep them cooming!

A while ago, I was looking for a new romance book to read and I came across "The Wicked One" . I bought it and couldn't put it down once I started reading it. Then I found out there are three other books about the other brothers. I was really excited except that I coudn't find them to buy at any stores near me. That was a while ago, I had to take a breather from reading because of some traumatic events going on in my life. Now I'm glad I found your website so I can soon continue to read you wonderful books. Thought I'd write a quick note and tell you that I loved all of the De Montforte books. It was great to finally read the book about Lucien.

I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful stories and hope that your grief doesn't stop you from writing forever. It would be a sad day indeed. In the meantime though I hope you spend many happy hours apon your trusty stead, dreaming with your cat and carrying on Roscoe's legacy in poppy while enjoying the wonders of motherhood. I am a huge fan of the De Montforte Family. I enjoyed each book. I never laughed so loud or so hard as I did at the antics of Andrew (defiant one) and his bride Celsiana. I am intrigued by the possibility of a book for the sister and Duke of Blackheath's heir. I would love to read the further antics of future generations of the De Montforte family.

In reality I am married to a wonderful, handome, intelligent biology professor and I thank God for him daily, but it is so fun to slip away and dream of.. Oh... a Pirate in my own arms on occasion!!!

Ilove the series about the de Montforts and would like to see you continue with one about the Den of Debauchery.
